Mike Dunlap out at Loyola Marymount after six seasons at the helm
Loyola Marymount announced Sunday night that the school was parting ways with head men’s basketball coach Mike Dunlap after six seasons. Dunlap was 81-108 overall but finished below .500 in four of six campaigns and went to the postseason just once (the 2019 CBI).
We had Dunlap on our Hot Seat Report starting last year, but the Lions’ 22-win season brought some hope to the program. Unfortunately, the team regressed and this year went just 11-21.
For an in-depth look at potential candidates at LMU, read our Let’s Speculate article here (updated this weekend). Names include USC assistant Jason Hart, Cal Baptist head coach Rick Croy, Wizards assistant (and alum) Corey Gaines, former Cal head coach (and LMU player) Wyking Jones, among others.
