  • After one year as an assistant under Barclay Radebaugh at Charleston Southern, Morrell joined Shaka Smart‘s staff at VCU
    • Worked with Smart at VCU for four seasons (two as DBO and two as an assistant) and then three more seasons as an assistant at Texas (one as Director of Program Development and two as an assistant)
  • Hired in April 2018 to be the head coach of the UNC Asheville Bulldogs
