The 2024-25 NBA playoffs are officially underway, and the NBA league teams are competing for the NBA championship title. There have been eight Game 1 matches and two Game 2 playoff games so far since the 19th of April and there are bold predictions released of how the games can go. The NBA playoffs games so far
Winning the Game 1 wins on Saturday, we have the Indiana Pacers at 117 against the Milwaukee Bucks who got 98, The Denver Nuggets only outscored the LA Clippers by 2 points who were at 110. The New York Knicks played the Detroit Pistons and won 123 against 112 and the 19th of April ended with the Minnesota Timberwolves bringing the hear with 117 points against the Los Angeles Lakers’ 95 points.
The two Game 1 matches carried the Thunder’s court attack of 131 against the Grizzlies who only got 80 points and the last was Orlando Magic’s 86-point loss against the Celtics’ 103-point win. Saturday’s playoff showed the Lakers’ Luka Doncic who scored 37 points against the Timberwolves. Monday the 21st saw another win for the Clippers with 105 against the Nuggets with 102, and a win from the Pistons against the Knicks at 100 points.
Playoff Predictions: who’s winning?
Based off the conference rankings, predictors expert the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston to wipe the basketball courts with the Orlando Magic and the Miami Heat, and they were certainly on the mark, as the game on Sunday showed just that. While the Knicks lost to the Detroit Pistons, predications favour New York to win the best-of-seven match to take Game 1.
Eastern Conference predictions go as follows; The Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to take over in the first round of the playoffs and play in the Conference Finals. Boston Celtics is positioned as a great contender to be the champion, but will that be the case with the injury of Jaylen Brown? Milwaukee Bucks’ Damian Lillard is missing so the Indiana Pacers are given the strong hand in this matchup.
For the Western Conference, the Oklahoma City Thunder being in the top rank, the leadership of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is possibly going to take them to the top. Predictions favour the Golden State Warriors over the Houston Rockers. Los Angelese Lakers have the chance to play for a while in the playoffs with players such as LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and the Denver Nuggets and LA Clippers hold equal strength with leaders such as Nikola Jokic and Kawhi Leonard.
