NEC Coach of the Year
List of NEC Coach of the Year winners
The Northeast Conference (NEC) has given the NEC Jim Phelan Coach of the Year award every season since 1982-83. The award was renamed in 2003 to honor longtime Mount St. Mary’s head coach Jim Phelan, who retired after the 2002-03 season. The coach who has won the award the most times (four) is former Central Connecticut head coach Howie Dickenman. Robert Morris is the program with the most awards (six), St. Francis Brooklyn and Wagner (five each). See also: NEC Player of the Year
