Which countries will host the first round of games in the expansion?
While the 2025-26 NFL season schedule is set to be revealed on May 14, the international schedule has been confirmed. The first country to host will be Brazil in week 1. The game will feature the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday, September 5 at 8:15 p.m. ET. After losing the Super Bowl last year, the Chiefs are looking for a good start to the 2025 season.
Next in the schedule is Dublin, Ireland. America has a long history with the Irish nation as a large percentage of Americans can trace their roots back to Ireland. The iconic Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the Minnesota Vikings in the Croke Park stadium at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, September 28. That is week 4 in the NFL schedule that has been released.
Week 5 sees the NFL make its way back to a location that will host three games. London has become a welcoming home for some NFL teams. The first game will be between the Minnesota Vikings and the Cleveland Browns.
