NY Giants react to Parsons trade

NFL release “Rivalries” uniforms ahead of the new season

NFL reacts to shocking Micah Parsons trade

NFL cutdown day leads to thousands of cuts for NFL teams

The New York Giants fans and players will be breathing a sigh of relief following the news that the Dallas Cowboys have traded Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. The trade sent shock waves throughout the NFL world, and the Giants are relieved that they no longer have to face Parsons on such a regular basis following his move out of the NFC. Giants’ new quarterback Russel Wilson was part of a litany of NFL players and pundits who reacted to the news on social media. Wilson has a connection to the Green Bay area and offered Micah Parsons some help in his move.

Russel Wilson sent Micah Parsons a message on social media

Russel Wilson, much like many NFL quarterbacks, is not afraid of sharing his thoughts on a vast array of subjects. And when the news broke that Micah Parsons was being traded by the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers, Russel Wilson was the first to offer the edge rusher some support, albeit sarcastically, on his X page, where he tweeted and tagged Parsons, who even responded to the tweet.

“You know @MicahhParsons11, I went to Wisconsin @BadgerFootball…Anything you need in Wisco…Packing ur bags.. moving company… just let me know,” – NY Giants QB Russel Wilson

Micah Parsons, who has a considerably large social media following, even responded to Wilson’s post by saying, “hit my line”. So perhaps Wilson was joking, but Parsons might actually need that moving help as the new season is fast approaching. The question is, can the Cowboys play like the same team without Micah Parsons? They have a brand new head coach, and Jerry Jones is not the patient type.

Russel Wilson and the Giants will be happy to see Parsons leave Dallas

That is a statement that seems a little bit excessive, but when you take a look at the past few years, the Giants have struggled to contend with the Cowboys’ pairing of Micah Parsons and Demarcus Lawrence. They played significantly worse against the pass-rushing duo than when they faced other teams, and will be happy to see that pairing in particular being broken up by Parsons joining the Packers and Lawrence switching teams as well.

Wilson offered help to Parsons as a result of his time in the Wisconsin area during his college years. He played one year in Wisconsin after leaving Carolina State. He amassed an impressive record with Wisconsin, notching 3,175 yards and 33 touchdowns across 14 appearances. The Giants are the only team that has not had any drama or scandals this offseason and have remained relatively quiet in a very turbulent summer that has seen four trades in one day recently.

“All throughout the year, you hear, ‘That is a championship team because they do this, or have that guy.’. We win ‘Our Way.’ However, we need to get it done; we get it done. We’ve shown every possible way.”  – Darius Slayton

Can the New York Giants make a deep playoff run this year

As the new season is fast approaching, the Giants are focused on making a deep playoff run this year. Russel Wilson is a great quarterback who has all the right tools and abilities both on the field and in the dressing room to be a remarkable player for the Giants. The recent scandal over the Cleveland Browns’ handling of Shedeur Sanders has garnered heavy criticism from a range of players and fans alike. The Giants will just be happy to have one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL on their side, and the fans will be excited to see hoe Russel Wilson performs in his debut for the iconic team.
