- Hometown: Atlanta, Georgia
- Alma Mater: Lindenwood College (BA, 1987)
- Played basketball for head coach Rick Reedy at D-II Lindenwood (now known as West Alabama)
- Early college roles include spending time as both the men’s and women’s head coach at Wallace CC-Selma (AL)
- Went 90-25 and won two league titles on the mens’ side and 45-21 with the women’s team
- Spent one year each working as an assistant under Ed Schilling at Wright State and Mel Hankinson at Liberty and then spent the 2001-02 as associate head coach for the legendary Ben Jobe at Southern
- Briefly worked in China on the coaching staff of Shandong Bulls Goldstone (2002-03)
- Served as the head coach at LeFlore HS (AL) from 2004-10, going 185-20 overall at the helm
- Won a 6A State Championship in 2007; coached Top 3 recruit and future NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins at LeFlore
- Moved up to the NBA in 2010 to be an assistant with the Sacramento Kings, who drafted Cousins 5th overall, and head coach Paul Westphal
- Spent one year on Mark Jackson’s staff in Golden State in the skill development and video departments
- Returned to Sacramento in 2012 and spent the next four years as a scout for the Kings
- Worked internationally for several years, serving as the head coach of the Chinese Taipei men’s and women’s national teams (2014-15) and later as the head coach of the Nigerian women’s national team (2017-22); appeared with the latter in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (in 2021), finishing 11th
- Served as a consultant to head coach Terri Williams-Flournoy for the Auburn women’s team from 2018-19
- Hired in April 2022 to be the head coach of the Alabama A&M Bulldogs in the SWAC
