  • Played four years at Northwestern under head coaches Bill E. Foster and Ricky Byrdsong
    • Won the Big Ten Defensive POY award after the 1993-94 season
    • Later played professionally for two years in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia
  • Started coaching in 2001 at Division II Lincoln University in Jefferson, Missouri
  • Spent time as an assistant at Green Bay under Tod Kowalczyk, Loyola (IL) under Jim Whitesell and Missouri State under Paul Lusk
  • Returned to his alma mater, Northwestern, in 2013 as an assistant coach under new head coach Chris Collins
    • Was on the NU staff in 2016-17 when the Wildcats made their first ever trip to the NCAA Tournament
  • Hired in June 2017 to be the new head coach of the Milwaukee Panthers
  • Spent the 2022-23 season on Patrick Ewing‘s staff as an assistant at Georgetown
  • Joined new head coach Roger Powell Jr.‘s staff at Valparaiso as an assistant in April 2023
  • Along with his wife, Shawn, has three daughters and one son (Patrick Jr., who played at Milwaukee)
