  • Started his coaching career at the high school level, serving as head coach at North Belt Christian Academy (TX) and Fort Bend Baptist Academy (TX) for three years each
  • Spent one season on Willis Wilson’s staff at Rice as the video coordinator
  • Joined Scott Drew‘s first staff at Baylor in 2003 as the coordinator of basketball operations
    • Elevated to full-time assistant in 2009, serving in that capacity for another eight seasons
  • Hired in May 2017 to be the new head coach of the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles
    • In 2021, Mills led ORU to its first NCAA Tournament since 2008 by way of a Summit League Tournament title
    • The 2020-21 Eagles became the 9th 15-seed to ever win its first game and just the 2nd to ever reach the Sweet 16
  • Along with his wife, Wendy, has two daughters
