  • Alma Mater: Texas A&M University (BA, 1996)
  • Played basketball at MacArthur HS (TX) and briefly played NAIA Southern Wesleyan (SC) before a back injury ended his career
    • Transferred to Texas A&M to be closer to home and finish his degree; initially worked in the financial world as a bonds analyst
  • Started coaching at the HS level, serving as head coach at North Belt Christian Academy (TX) and Fort Bend Baptist Academy (TX) for three years each
  • Spent one season on Willis Wilson‘s staff at Rice as the video coordinator
  • Joined Scott Drew‘s first staff at Baylor in 2003 as the coordinator of basketball operations
    • Elevated to full-time assistant in 2009, serving in that capacity for another eight seasons
  • Hired in May 2017 to be the new head coach of the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles
  • In March 2023, Mills was hired to be the new head coach at Wichita State in the AAC
