- Alma Mater: University of Tulsa (BA, 1995)
- The Oklahoma-native played for four seasons at Tulsa under head coach Tubby Smith; received All-MVC honors in 1995
- Started his coaching career right away, working as an assistant coach for eight seasons with four different programs
- Worked under head coaches Kevin Eastman (Washington State), Kevin Stallings and Tom Richardson (Illinois State), Shawn Finney (Tulane) and John Phillips (Tulsa)
- Took over as interim head coach at Tulsa in December 2004 following Phillips‘ resignation; went 7-15 over the remainder of the season
- Joined Mark Turgeon‘s staff at Wichita State in 2005, following the head coach to Texas A&M in 2007 to work with the Aggies for four seasons
- Spent one year each working under Matt Doherty at SMU and Trent Johnson at TCU
- Hired as a Texas Tech assistant by his former coach Tubby Smith in 2013 and three years later, followed Smith to Memphis where he was an assistant with the Tigers for two seasons
- Spent one year on Jim Larrañaga‘s staff at Miami (FL) then two years on Lon Kruger‘s staff at Oklahoma
