- Alma Mater: Empire State College (BA, 1995)
- Played at Erie CC for head coach John Beilein and at then-NAIA Wheeling Jesuit (WV) for Jim O’Brien
- Started coaching in 1984 as an assistant at Sweet Home HS (Amherst, NY); became the head coach there in 1992, leading his team to four-straight division titles
- Took over as head coach at Erie CC in 1997, going 43-15 during his tenure and winning a NJCAA Regional III Championship
- Hired as the new Buffalo head coach in 1999, replacing Tim Cohane who resigned five games into the season
- Won 197 games during his tenure at Buffalo, leading the Bulls to 4 postseason appearances – 1 NIT, 1 CBI and 2 CITs
- Spent one season each as an assistant under Anthony Grant at Alabama and under Matt McCall at Chattanooga before being hired as head coach at Canisius in 2016
- Led the Golden Griffins to a share of the MAAC regular season title in his second year on the job
- Went 108-130 overall in eight seasons at the helm; he and the school parted ways March 2024 following five-straight losing seasons
