  • Born May 10, 1940
  • Alma Mater: Bloomsburg University (BA, 1962)
  • Played for Bill E. Foster at D-II Bloomsburg (PA), graduating in 1962 as one of the top ten scorers in program history
  • Got into coaching in 1965 when he was hired by Foster to be the freshman coach and a varsity assistant at Rutgers
    • Worked under Foster for six seasons; among those he coached were his brother (and All-American) Bobby Lloyd and future Hall of Fame college coach Jim Valvano (whom he also coached alongside from 1967-69)
  • Elevated to head coach in 1971, going 29-22 in two seasons at the helm with one NIT appearance (1973)
  • Transitioned away from coaching in 1973, initially working as Staff Assistant in the Office of the Secretary for the University at Rutgers; spent ten years working as Director of Alumni Relations for 10 years
    • Joined the Rutgers University Foundation in 1984 as Director of the Annual Fund, then served as Director of Corporate Relations
    • Became Assistant Vice President of Alumni Relations in 2003, the same year he received the Rutgers Alumni Federation’s Meritorious Service Award
    • Spent 23 seasons (1992-2015) in the booth as men’s basketball radio analyst, and also called Rutgers football games; retired in 2015
  • Inducted into the Bloomsburg Hall of Fame in 1984 and the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015
