Richardson Hitchins and George Kambosos do not like each other, like for real, for real. I will get into the nitty-gritty on this, but this is juicy because that is what fans love to see. Think about it: a genuine dislike towards each other means there is a push to genuinely want to fight this person to prove a point, and while that is something to look forward to, it is a heated tension that will blast in the boxing ring. These two players, Hitchins and Kambosos, dislike each other. Their dislike started somewhere. Someone triggered another, and that is where it all began.

Ego-driven men who are not going anywhere until they put their gloves on

It is not a daily thing when you come across players or fighters who just cannot stand each other and want to bite each other whenever they meet. Is it good? No, but the dislike is good for the game. That is what boxing is all about. To relieve this tension, the best option is to give these two men gloves. They are not leaving; they are here to stay and fight, just like Ryan Garcia, despite his health condition.

Ego drives a sport like boxing. No man wants to be challenged. No man wants to lose. They all want to be the man everyone likes, supports, and respects. The good part is that Richardson Hitchins and George Kambosos are fighting each other soon on Sunday, and this will definitely calm them down, and whoever wins will know that they are the lead for this time and moment.

Hitchins vs Kambosos: The fire is burning

There was an expression of anger at a press conference when both men exchanged words. I think their tension is valid because one of them was disrespectful, and that fired up the anger. At one point, Hitchins wanted to intimidate Kambosos, which then triggered him. He jumped from his seat, wanting to lay a hand on Hitchins; however, security took over to calm the storm. Hitchins said:

“Dominating fashion. Like I said, Saturday night I won’t be going nowhere. I’ll be right in front of him. Bill Haney want to say ‘don’t run, get knocked the f-ck out,’ I ain’t Devin Haney, I’ll be right there in front of him all night punishing this guy.”

How did it all start?

Kambosos is the one who does not like Hitchins. Like I mentioned before, their tension is valid because there was an element of disrespect from Hitchins. Here is the story: Vasiliy Lomachenko was disrespected after Hitchins said that he would have “whipped Lomachenko“ if he were the one who fought him. Now that, that definitely raised anger within Kambosos, and here we are today, looking forward to their upcoming rival game in the boxing ring soon.

Kambosos fired back,

“You ain’t done nothing yet. Keep my name out of your mouth until you prove yourself.”

Pride and ego have gotten their way in these players

So, the thing is, while Vasiliy Lomachenko is a respected man who recently retired and still managed to beat George Kambosos. The fact that Richardson Hitchins said he would have won the game instead made George feel belittled, and his pride was crushed. While legends are highly respected in boxing, it does not take away that all boxing players want to have 0 losses on their resume. Unfortunately, that is close to impossible. Here is the catch: Hitchins has never been beaten, meaning George will face a tough opponent, similar to how Terence Crawford considers Yuriorkis Gamboa to be the toughest opponent of his career.
