- Alma Mater: San Francisco State University (BA, 1999) / Azusa Pacific University (M.Ed, 2001)
- The California-native played at Division II San Francisco State, earning All-CCAA honors three times in four years
- First basketball coaching gig was as an assistant to John Masi at UC Riverside
- Left UCR after one season to be the associate head coach at D-II Concordia (CA)
- Returned a year later to spend another three seasons on Masi’s staff
- Spent five years as the head coach at Citrus College, a JC in Glendora, CA, going 103-35 over five seasons
- Won three straight Western State titles and was named the conference’s COY in each of those three seasons (2008-10)
- Returned to Division I in 2010, joining Randy Bennett‘s staff at Saint Mary’s
- Coached the Gaels in two NCAA Tournaments and one NIT over three years in Moraga
- Hired in April 2013 to be the new head coach at (then) Division II California Baptist in Riverside
- Led the Lancers to the NCAA D-II Tournament in each of his first five seasons at the school, twice reaching the Sweet 16
- Stayed on as head coach as the school transitioned to being a Division I member of the WAC ahead of the 2018-19 season
- Led the Lancers to the 2019 CBI, the first-ever D-I postseason berth for the program in their first year of D-I play; returned to the CBI three years later in 2022
- Along with his wife, Jamie, has one son and one daughter
