- Spent six seasons on Gary Williams‘ staff at Maryland and one season as an assistant to Seth Greenberg at Virginia Tech
- Was an assistant for two years and associate head coach for two years at UAB under head coach Jerod Haase
- Promoted to head coach at UAB in March 2016 when Haase left for Stanford
- Won 76 games in four seasons at the helm, with one postseason berth (2019 CBI)
- Finished above .500 each season but was fired in March 2020 (.571 overall win percentage)
- In April 2021, Ehsan reunited with Haase by joining his coaching staff at Stanford as an assistant
- Hired in April 2024 to be the new head coach at UIC in the Missouri Valley
