  • Alma Mater: Long Island University (BS, 1968)
  • The NYC-native attended Long Island University, where he played basketball for head coach Roy Rubin
    • The Blackbirds reached the NCAA Division II Final Four in 1968, Ganulin’s senior season
  • First coaching job was a three-year stint at Kibbutz Gan Shmuel in Israel, winning a league title in 1975
  • Returned to the States and coached at D-II C.W. Post, part of the LIU system (since merged with the Brooklyn campus)
  • Spent two years as an assistant at D-II NYIT on Long Island, then two years as the Bears’ head coach
  • Moved up to the Division I level in 1982, spending three seasons assisting Bob Dukiet at Saint Peter’s, two seasons under Tom Young at Old Dominion and then four seasons with Jerry Tarkanian at UNLV
  • Hired in 1991 to be the head coach at Saint Francis in Brooklyn, leading the Terriers for 14 seasons
    • Went 187-207 overall, winning two NEC regular season titles (2001 and 2004)
    • Left in 2005 with the second-most head coaching wins in program history
  • Spent the 2005-06 season as coordinator of player development with the Washington Wizards (coached by Eddie Jordan)
  • Was an assistant at Manhattan for two seasons under head coach Barry Rohrssen
  • After a few years away from coaching, Ganulin coached JV and assisted varsity at Yeshiva University HS for Boys (NYC)
  • Returned to Saint Francis in 2013 to be an assistant under Glenn Braica, one of his own former assistants at SFC
    • Remained with the program for ten seasons until 2023, when the school decided to eliminate its athletic programs
