- Alma Mater: University of Pennsylvania (BA, 1921)
- Spent 17 years as the head coach at Georgia Tech, going 173-134 during his tenure
- While much of his time at Tech was pre-NCAA Tournament, he led the Yellow Jackets to a sweep of the SEC regular season and Tournament titles in 1938
- Also coached the Yellow Jackets’ baseball team and served as assistant athletic director
- Inducted into the Georgia Tech Sports Hall of Fame (c/o 1968)
- Later on served as the assistant athletic director at Louisville and was coordinator of officials for the SEC
- Passed away in December 1966 at the age of 64 a day after suffering a heart attack while attending a Tech game in Atlanta
