- Hometown: Spokane, Washington
- Alma Mater: Eastern Oregon University (BA, 1998) / University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (MA, 2001)
- The Spokane-native played at NAIA Eastern Oregon, graduating in 1998 and starting his coaching career a year later
- Spent two years as a graduate assistant at D-III Wisconsin-La Crosse while earning his master’s degree
- Returned to alma mater Eastern Oregon in 2004 when he was hired as Mountaineers’ new head coach
- Went 95-55 in five seasons at the helm, winning two conference titles and reaching the NAIA Tournament twice
- Next stop was a seven-year stint at D-II Seattle Pacific, where he won 164 games
- Claimed two GNAC regular season titles and reached the D-II NCAA Tournament in each of his seven seasons
- Left SPU for D-II Point Loma Nazarene (in San Diego, CA) in 2016, going 69-28 over three seasons
- Improved the Sea Lions from 17 wins in year one to a 31-5 record and D-II NCAA Runner-Up finish in year three
- Hired in April 2019 to be the new head coach at Idaho State, his first job with a Division I program
- Along with his wife, Julianna, has one daughter and one son
