  • Alma Mater: University of San Diego (BA, 2001)
  • Played PG at Gig Harbor HS, where his team won the 2A Washington state title in 1996
  • After two years at Tacoma CC, Scholl finished his career and degree at San Diego, playing under head coach Brad Holland
  • Started coaching right after graduating, working for Holland for the next six seasons at USD
  • Joined Kerry Keating‘s staff at Santa Clara in 2007; elevated to associate head coach in 2013
  • Returned to alma mater San Diego in 2015, this time spending three seasons as an assistant to new head coach Lamont Smith
    • Named acting head coach in February 2018 when Smith was let go and coached the Toreros to a 2-1 record in the 2018 CIT; on April 2nd, Scholl was officially promoted to head coach at San Diego
    • Went 48-65 over the next four seasons (50-66 overall) before he was fired in March 2022
  • Hired in July 2022 as an advisor on Brian Dutcher‘s staff at San Diego State; with the team in 2023 when they were National Runner-up
  • In May 2023, Scholl was hired as an assistant under new Montana State head coach Matt Logie
