SEC Coach of the Year

List of SEC Coach of the Year winners

The coaches of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) have awarded SEC Coach of the Year honors every season since 1963-64. The coach to win the award the most times is Kentucky’s Adolph Rupp, with seven total awards. Kentucky is also the program with the most awards (22), followed by Tennessee (nine), Mississippi State, Vanderbilt (eight each) and Alabama (seven each).

The SEC Coach of the Year has been selected by the SEC head coaches each year since 1964. The Associated Press has also selected an SEC Coach of the Year winner each year since 1960. The list below shows the coach that was selected by the league coaches for the award each year. See also: SEC Player of the Year

In the event that the AP chose a different coach for that year’s award, that coach is listed with an ◊ following his name. The years 1960-62 & 1986 feature only the AP selection.
