- Alma Mater: University of Maine (BA, 1962)
- Graduated from Old Town HS (ME) then spent a post-grad year at the Maine Central Institute, during which his team won the New England Prep Championship
- Attended the University of Maine, where he was a three-time All-Yankee player for the Black Bears under coach Brian McCall
- Became school’s first-ever draftee, going 11th round in the 1962 NBA Draft to the St. Louis Hawks
- Did not ever play for the Hawks or any other NBA franchises
- Spent 17 seasons as the head coach at his alma mater, Maine, from 1971-96
- Compiled a 217-226 overall record over seasons played in the Yankee Conference and Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) North, now known as the America East
