The Southwest Conference (SWC) awarded Southwest Coach of the Year honors most seasons between 1957-58 and 1995-96, though the records below are incomplete. The coach to win the award the most times (five) was Gerald Myers, followed by Eddie Sutton (four), Bill Menefee, Jim Killingsworth and Nolan Richardson (three each).
