Southwest Player of the Year

List of Southwest Player of the Year winners

The Southwest Conference (SWC) awarded Southwest Player of the Year honors every season from 1957-58 through 1995-96. Two players won the award three times each – Texas A&M’s Carroll Broussard (1960-62) and SMU‘s Gene Phillips (1969-71) – while six others won it twice each. Texas A&M is the program with the most winners (ten), followed by Texas and SMU (eight each).
