  • Hometown: Mandeville, Louisiana
  • Alma Mater: Saint Edward’s University (BA, 2001)
  • Graduated from Mandeville HS (LA) and later from Saint Edward’s (TX), where he was a student assistant with the men’s basketball team
    • Spent the 2000-01 season at Western Kentucky as a volunteer assistant on Dennis Felton‘s staff
    • Returned to Saint Edward’s and spent one season as an assistant coach at his alma mater
  • Spent the next several years coaching overseas, including stints in Qatar, Lithuania, Bahrain, and China
    • Worked under former UNO head coach Joey Stiebing with the Qatar National Team as an assistant coach from 2003-06
    • Was head coach of Manama Club in Bahrain in 2006, LLC International University in Lithuania from 2007-08 and the Qatar youth team 2009-10
  • Returned to the United States in 2010 and became an assistant under head coach Dr. Michael Giorlando at NAIA Loyola in New Orleans
    • Worked under Giorlando for four seasons, spending some of that time coaching alongside Stiebing
  • Elevated to head coach at Loyola in 2014; led the Wolfpack for eight seasons going 166-78 overall during that time
    • Qualified for five NAIA Tournaments and his 2022 team went 37-1 and won the National Championship; Hollowell was named NAIA NCOY
  • He left after that season to become associate AD for men’s basketball at Ole Miss in 2022, which was coached by Kermit Davis
  • Got his first D-I assistant coaching job in 2023, joining Johnny Jones‘ staff at Texas Southern in the SWAC
  • Hired in April 2024 to return to his hometown as the new head coach of the New Orleans Privateers
