  • Alma Mater: Ursinus College (BA, 1984)
  • Played a Division III Ursinus (PA) before starting his coaching career in 1984 as an assistant at Springfield HS (PA)
  • Spent one season as an assistant at Monsignor Bonner HS (PA) under future Lafayette head coach Fran O’Hanlon
  • After two years assisting at Philadelphia, Donahue joined Fran Dunphy‘s staff at Penn in 1990
  • Ten seasons later, Donahue became a head coach – he coached the Cornell Big Red for ten seasons, building the program into a consistent winner
    • Won three straight Ivy League titles and took the program to the Sweet Sixteen of the 2010 NCAA Tournament
  • Spent four years as the head coach at Boston College, going to the NIT in 2011 but failing to reach the postseason in his remaining three seasons
  • Took a year off and then returned to Penn in 2015 as the Quakers’ new head coach
  • Along with his wife, Pamela, has four children
