A new crop of top units from Sweden is all but waiting to roll off the assembly lines, and it’s not necessarily raw brawn. With its battery power and auto world first safety option, Volvo’s new EX60 has been the watercooler topic. With a capability of producing 670 horsepower, what twin engines and manually adjustable seatbelt in the manner that it is adjustable, is the Volvo EX60 the most technologically advanced EV available for sale?

Volvo EX60: A game changer for the Swedish fully electric vehicle

When Volvo EX60 is released in spring 2026, it makes a hue and cry, so to speak, for the simple reason that technology specs are out-of-this-world-like. The car hits the market in three/five horse-powered models, and one can produce 329 horsepower. Whoever wants to drive their car up to the top level will have it delivered in the twin-motor version, which will deliver 670 horsepower, some of the fastest Volvos in the world.

This model will feature its twin motor in the EX60 with in-step drive-away and rock stability all around, and four-wheel drive. Unite class-leading power and world-leading electric technology to make the EX60 and top-selling EVs smile once more.

And Volvo’s next-gen EV tech takes the lead on range and magic

The EX60 is not necessarily about raw brute force. Volvo is giving it next-generation batteries and charging, for range touring and fast charging. Even the platform itself will be future-proofed and software-updatable in the future. The car will thus stay at the technology leading edge for a couple of years. With those, Volvo is attempting to win over drivers who desire both thrill and sustainability.

The never-before-seen tech: Volvo’s revolutionary smart seatbelt system unveiled

The EX60’s engine is interesting, but perhaps the most technologically sophisticated feature of the car is its new seatbelt technology. Volvo had previously promised a “smart seatbelt” system much superior to conventional restraint systems. It has sensors and sophisticated electronics to track the position and tension of the seatbelt in real-time and automatically adjust it to deliver optimal protection for everyone on board.

The system is even capable of detecting that a wrong-seating-position occupant is on board or that the belt is buckled and will remind the driver in either situation, or buckle the belt in the wrong seating position but unbuckled situation. The warning system is in the sense that the passenger will not be injured in a crash and will be as protected as possible without size or seating position limitation.

That’s how Volvo seatbelt technology will become the industry’s new norm

The smart seat belt is just a copy of Volvo safety engineering. Slops or slant belts, that aged scourge, which tear up when one collides with them, the sense-and-regulate tension sensor of the EX60 digital detects. The innovation would nonetheless remain the new standard of the whole car universe, which was already achieved with the first three-point seat belt decades earlier by Volvo.

What’s in store: EX60 potential to EV market and Volvo heritage

Global holiday in the world’s whole globe, technology, and world record safe, the Volvo EX60 is ready to transform the world. The car’s powertrain makes it ready to fit any category of driver, from budget-friendly drivers to speed maniacs. The new system, except seatbelt, makes Volvo the best since it places the motor vehicle security on an elite level.

Volvo EX60 isn’t even an electric SUV–it’s a Swedish marvel and world record-breaking safety feature. Its dual-motor 670 HP max and smart seat belt system will be the new standard by which one will be compelled to exceed as an EV.
