  • Alma Mater: University of Georgia (BA, 1971)
  • Graduated from Phillipsburg Catholic HS (NJ) and went on to play for head coach Ken Rosemond at Georgia
    • Spent one year after graduating as a a graduate assistant under Rosemond to kick off his coaching career
  • Worked as an assistant for a number of seasons under head coaches Bill Raftery (Seton Hall), Rollie Massimino (Villanova) and Bruce Parkhill (William & Mary)
    • In between assistant gigs, Brennan spend one year coaching basketball and baseball at Division III FDU Florham (NJ)
  • Hired in 1982 to be the head coach at Yale, leading the Bulldogs for four seasons
  • Spent the remainder of his coaching career at Vermont, serving as the Catamounts’ head coach for 19 seasons
  • After retiring from coaching in 2005, Brennan served as a college basketball studio analyst for ESPN four four years
  • Currently does radio work for Sirius XM and Westwood One, while making occasional television appearances with NBC Sports
  • Along with his wife, Lynn, has one daughter and one son
