Tom Moore fired after 10 seasons at Quinnipiac
Quinnipiac head coach Tom Moore has been fired after 10 seasons with the program, compiling an overall record of 162-146. Moore had some success, going to the postseason four times between 2010-14, but the Bobcats were just 19-42 over the last two seasons.
Athletic director Greg Amodio, who was hired in 2015, will look to bring in someone that matches his own vision for the future of the program. David Borges of the NH Register names former Bobcats assistant and current Southern Connecticut head coach Scott Burrell and Iona associate head coach Jared Grasso as logical replacements.
According to the PageSix, former Rutgers coach Mike Rice, Jr is also rumored to be a candidate for the position. Rice was fired after practice video surfaced showing the coach being both physically and verbally abusive to players. Prior to Rutgers, Rice had success at Robert Morris and has been coaching at St. Patrick HS (NJ) since 2015.
