A possible amount of up to $5,000 will be paid out into some recipients’ bank accounts tomorrow. Those Social Security recipients who did not receive their Social Security benefit payment during the first round of Social Security payments on June 11, 2025, will receive their benefit tomorrow, June 18, 2025. If you are not receiving your Social Security payment tomorrow, it is important to take note of the payment schedule for June and to understand who exactly will be receiving a payment of up to $5,000 this month.

No payment delays for SSA beneficiaries in June

When it comes to Social Security payments that are delivered electronically, very few or hardly any delays are experienced. The Social Security Administration (SSA) has been trying its best to do away with paper checks so as to reduce fraud.

Due to the SSA being so efficient with paying Social Security benefits, no payment delays are to be expected this month. However, for recipients who do not receive their payments on the exact stipulated date, the SSA recommends that they wait for three days before reaching out to the SSA to express their concerns.

What may have seemed like a delay in payment since the main set of payments went out very close to mid-June was not actually a delay. The payment was paid out later in the month due to a calendar quirk that led to what seemed like a delay in payments. Nevertheless, the first set of Social Security benefits went out last week, and the next set of payments will be issued this week. Social Security payments are highly beneficial for many citizens, whether they are receiving a high check amount of $5,000 or the average Social Security amount.

Nevertheless, Social Supplementary Income (SSI) will not be paid out to eligible beneficiaries this month. This is because SSI payments were paid out at the end of last month on May 30.

One group of beneficiaries will be receiving payment this week

Although the initial bad news was that there were no more payments until mid-June, the mid-June mark has passed, and some beneficiaries will be receiving payments soon. Payments are rolled out based on the citizens’ birthdays. Recipients with birthdays that occurred between the 1st and 10th of the month were paid out last Wednesday.

According to the Social Security payment schedule, all Social Security payments will be issued on the remaining Wednesdays of the month:

  • June 19: For citizens with birthdays between the 11th and 20th.
  • June 26: For citizens with birthdays from the 21st to 31st.

Since there are over 70 million Americans relying on their Social Security payments, this staggered payment system for distributing payments must be followed.

Who is eligible for up to $5,000 in Social Security benefits?

This Wednesday, a few citizens will be receiving up to $5,000. This payment amount is the maximum Social Security payment that is based on a person’s benefits and earning history. This maximum payment amount is usually received by recipients who received high wages during their working years and most likely waited until 70 to receive their Social Security benefits.

The maximum Social Security payment is only received by a few citizens; however, most Social Security beneficiaries receive an average amount of about $1,900. In order to receive this maximum benefit, citizens should avoid making three Social Security mistakes in 2025. These mistakes could very well cost citizens thousands.

All the Social Security payments going out on June 18 will provide the much-needed relief to the many American citizens who rely on this benefit completely. While some citizens will still have to wait until next Wednesday to receive their payments, it’s good to know that the wait has finally come to an end for many SSA beneficiaries.
