Goodbye to the most-awaited stimulus check ― Millions could lose this payment

First $500 payments arrive in June ― Just in one state, check payment date

One group will soon receive $4,000 deductions ― Check if you qualify

Citizens in one state will see checks of up to $400 hitting their pockets to enable them to buy groceries and take care of their food needs. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) assists low-income families with their groceries to ensure that citizens in the state don’t go hungry. The payment of SNAP benefits in this state is staggered during the month and citizens receive their payments based on their Social Security number. In the third week of June, many citizens in this state will receive their payments.

The food security ensured by the SNAP program cannot be underestimated and citizens in this state need to stay abreast of the information pertaining to who will receive payments within this week.

Understanding how the SNAP benefit is calculated for citizens

The way that the SNAP payment amount gets decided is based on each citizen’s respective household size, income level, and other monthly expenses. Generally, SNAP families will receive between $250 to $400 monthly, however, some families are eligible for a higher SNAP benefit.

Generally, the way payment works is such that:

  • A single individual will receive up to $291
  • A family of four may receive about $973
  • Households with dependent children or seniors will qualify for more benefits

Each state will provide SNAP benefits as per the federal payment guidelines, but each state follows its own monthly payment schedule when administering these benefits to eligible citizens. In this particular state, SNAP benefits are paid out by midnight on the day that the payment is scheduled for.

With summer in full swing in this state, the 5 million citizens who receive these SNAP benefits are eagerly awaiting their payment dates which will either fall within this round of payments or during the fourth round of SNAP payments.

Citizens in Florida who are eligible for SNAP benefits this week

In the state of Florida, the beneficiaries for this week have been decided is based on the 8th and 9th digits of their Social Security number (SSN). For payment scheduling purposes, the 8th and 9th SSN digits are inverted.

As per the schedule and in accordance with all the information that has been stipulated by the Florida Department of Children and Families, SNAP payments will be distributed this week between June 16 and June 22 and will be as follows:

  • June 16: All recipients within the normal SNAP program queue
  • June 17: Beneficiaries whose SSN digits are 58–60
  • June 18: Standard processing group
  • June 19: Beneficiaries whose SSN digits are 65–67
  • June 20: Beneficiaries whose SSN digits are 68–71
  • June 21: Beneficiaries whose SSN digits are 72–74
  • June 22: Final day of this week’s staggered distribution

Citizens whose SSN falls within these ranges can therefore expect to receive their payments this week via a deposit to their EBT card. All EBT cards can be used at all SNAP paricipating grocery stores and retailers. These SNAP benefits are considered as being highy beneficial by many and that is why it was so devastating to find out that due to new changes, some beneficiaries could be saying goodbye to SNAP benefits.

The next round of SNAP payments for citizens in Florida

Citizens in Florida who are not due to expect SNAP benefits this week according to their SSN digits can look forward ri the next payment cycle that runs from June 23 right through until June 28. For this round of EBT card deposits, Social Security numbers when inverted between 75–99 will be considered.

As per the next payment cycle:

  • June 23 to 28: SNAP payments will go out to individuals in Florida with SSNs ending in the higher ranges
  • Households receiving SUNCAP or cash assistance (for SSI recipients) typically get their benefits in the first three days of each month, so they won’t receive June payments in the final payment week.

Beneficiaries seeing payments arrive this week or next can expect to receive a current average payment as has been mentioned by the USDA Food and Nutrition Services of about $188 for individuals and about $388 per eligible families. SNAP benefits are of considerable help to many families in Florida and all SNAP beneficiaries should take expert advice so they can get the most out of their SNAP benefits.
