  • Alma Mater: University of Louisiana at Monroe (BA, 1989, BS, 1992, M.Ed, 1992)
  • Graduated from Provine HS (MS) and then went on to play for head coach Mike Vining at Louisiana-Monroe
    • Spent two seasons as a graduate assistant on Vining’s staff after graduating
  • Became the head coach at his alma mater Provine HS in 1992, winning a MS State Championships
  • Spent four years as an assistant at Ole Miss, working under head coach Rod Barnes
  • Went back to the high school level in 2004, coaching at Piney Woods HS for three years and Callaway HS (MS) for six
    • Won four more State Championships in six years at Callaway
  • Hired in 2013 to take over as the head coach at Jackson State, where he has coached ever since
    • Led the Tigers to a 20-win season in 2015-16, concluding in a trip to the CIT
    • Won a share of the SWAC title during the COVID-shortened 2020-21 season
    • Retired in March 2022 after nine seasons at the school; went 119-156 overall
  • Along with his wife, Dedra, has one daughter and one son
