Bethune-Cookman will not renew the contract of head basketball coach Gravelle Craig, who was 74-123 in six seasons. Craig has been with the program since 2004, serving as an assistant coach then associate head coach before taking over in 2011.

Despite having a winning record in his first season, Craig’s Wildcats never finished higher than 4th in the MEAC. This past year, the team went 10-22 (6-10) and finished in 10th place.

Craig, speaking on Monday, had this to say: “It was an opportunity that I will forever cherish, and one that allowed me to experience something that had never been done at BCU before – advancing to the MEAC Tournament championship game (in 2012).”
