- Spent four seasons as the head coach at Lassen College (Susanville, CA), where his teams went 87-47 overall
- Was the head coach at San Joaquin Delta CC (Stockton, CA) from 1993-2008
- Compiled an overall record of 348-138 and reached the Final Four in 2005
- Hired in 2008 to be the head coach at Sacramento State, serving in that role ever since
- Had 150 wins during his tenure at Sac State and led the Hornets to the CIT in 2015
- Retired in November 2021, just before the start of the regular season, citing ongoing health concerns
- Along with his wife, Lori, has two daughters and three sons
