- Born in Arkansas and raised in Stephenville, Texas, where his father, Lonn Reisman, worked at Tarleton State
- Lonn was the Texans’ head basketball coach for 30 seasons and has served as TSU athletic director since 1994
- Graduated from Stephenville HS (TX) in 1997, earning all-district and all-region honors on the court
- Played for his father at Tarleton State for four seasons, leading the Lone Star Conference in assists as a junior and senior
- Started his coaching career after graduating in 2002, spending two years as a graduate assistant
- Became an assistant coach in 2004 and two years later was elevated to associate head coach by his father
- When Lonn stepped down in 2018, he selected Chris to be his replacement as Tarleton State head coach
- In March 2020, Reisman stepped down to become Asst AD, Student-Athlete Development and Strategic Initiatives at TSU
- Starting with the 2020-21 season, the Tarleton State programs moved up to the Division I WAC
