  • After one year as a graduate assistant at UMass, Kellogg spent two seasons as an assistant under Jim Larrañaga at George Mason and then one at Youngstown State under John Robic
  • Spent eight seasons as an assistant at Memphis working again under Calipari
  • Left Memphis in 2008 to become the head coach at his alma mater, UMass
    • Went 155-137 in nine seasons, leading the Minutemen to two NITs and one NCAA Tournament (2014)
    • Fired in March 2017 after two straight seasons finishing with a losing record
  • Hired in April 2017 as the new head coach at LIU (then LIU Brooklyn) out of the NEC
    • Led the (then) Blackbirds to the 2018 NCAA Tournament by way of a NEC Tournament title in year one
  • Along with his wife, Nicole, has one son
