Great West Regular Season & Tournament Champions

Full list of Great West Conference (GWC) men’s basketball regular season and tournament champions, including head coach, by year. Originally formed in 2004 as the Great West Football Conference, other sports started competition in 2009. Men’s basketball in the Great West lasted just four seasons, with seven teams competing in the first two years, six in the third and just five in the final year. Football programs began to leave, leading the conference to drop the sport in 2011. Over the next couple years, the remaining full and affiliate members left for other conferences and the Great West was dissolved following the 2012-13 season.
