- Alma Mater: University of Southern Mississippi (BS, 1988 & M.Ed, 1999)
- Played four years at Southern Miss under head coach M. K. Turk; participated in the 1987 NIT
- Started his coaching career in 1992, serving as the head coach at St. Stanislaus College Prep (MS) for 19 seasons
- Led the Rockachaws to ten MHSAA state tournaments; were 4A state runner-up finish in 2010 and state champs in 2011
- Compiled a career HS coaching record of 511-189 (.730)
- Returned to Hattiesburg in 2011, spending one year as head coach at his alma mater Oak Grove HS
- Moved on to the JUCO level in 2012, spending two years coaching at Jones County JC in Ellisville, MS
- In his second season there, Ladner’s squad went 28-5 and won the NJCAA National Championship title; became the lowest-seeded school and the first ever JUCO from MS to do so
- Hired as the head coach of the Division I Southeastern Louisiana Lions in 2014
- Won a share of the Southland regular season title in 2018, earning a trip to the NIT
- In April 2019, Ladner was hired to be the head coach at alma mater Southern Miss; is 49-73 through four seasons at the helm
- In 2022-23, their first year in the Sun Belt, Ladner led the Eagles to 25+ wins and an outright league title; he was named Sun Belt COY
- Along with his wife, Jennifer, has one daughter and one son
