Jeff Neubauer is out at Fordham, effective immediately
Jeff Neubauer, who had been the head coach at Fordham since 2015, is leaving the program, the school announced on Tuesday.
The Rams were just 61-104 under Neubauer, including a 1-7 start to this season. After reaching the CIT in his first year, win totals began to drop and the Rams failed to finish above .500 in any season.
“Fordham Athletics appreciates Coach Neubauer and his commitment and leadership to our men’s basketball program over the past six seasons,” interim AD Ed Kull said in a release. “We are grateful for Jeff’s hard work and dedication, and thank him for his service to Fordham. We wish him and his family the best in the future.”
Associate head coach Michael DePaoli, who has been with the program since 2010, will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the 2020-21 season. Kull noted that a national search for Neubauer’s replacement will begin immediately.
