- Alma Mater: Colby College (BA, 1968)
- First coaching job was a three-year stint at D-III Colby College (MA), during which he went 33-40 overall
- Arrived at Northeastern in 1979, spending the next seven seasons as an assistant on Hall of Famer Jim Calhoun‘s staff
- Was part of five NCAA Tournaments and six ECAC North (now America East) regular season titles
- Took over as the Huskies’ head coach in 1986, compiling a 131-103 record over the next eight seasons
- Won four ECAC North/NAC titles of his own and went to two NCAA Tournaments
- Was let go in 1994 after going 5-22, despite winning 20 games and a share of the conference title the year prior
- Returned to coaching a year later, spending eight seasons as head coach of the then-Division II Mercyhurst Lakers in Erie, PA
- Went 106-106 during his tenure, finishing .500 or better in five of those seasons
- Stopped coaching in 2003, spending the next eight years as the Director of Athletics at Westwood HS (MA)
