  • Matthew Lee Logie
  • Born September 10, 1980
  • Hometown: Mercer Island, Washington
  • Alma Mater: Lehigh University (BA, 2003 & M.Ed)
  • Played four seasons at Lehigh for head coaches Sal Mentesana (1999-2002) and Billy Taylor (2002-03)
  • Started out his coaching career at his alma mater, spending one year as DBO and two as an assistant on Taylor‘s staff
  • Left briefly to be the DBO for head coach Jim Christian at Kent State before returning to Lehigh in 2007
  • Working under new head coach Brett Reed, Logie spent two more years as an assistant and then two as associate head coach
    • Part of the 2010 team that won the Patriot League, the Patriot League Tournament and went to the NCAA Tournament
    • Recruited and helped develop a number of players – including future NBA mainstay CJ McCollum – who would return to the Big Dance in 2012 as a 15-seed and upset 2-seed Duke in the first round
  • Hired in 2013 to be the head coach at D-III Whitworth in his home state of Washington
    • Went 194-35 over eight seasons at the helm, going to seven NCAA Tournaments and winning five Northwest Conference titles
  • Left for San Diego in 2019, becoming the head coach at D-II Point Loma in the PacWest
    • In four seasons, Logie went 82-23, reached four NCAA Tournaments and won two PacWest titles
  • Returned to Division I in 2023 when he was hired to be the new head coach at Montana State
    • Led the Bobcats to the NCAA Tournament in his first year after winning the Big Sky Tournament as the 5-seed
