  • Alma Mater: Texas A&M-Commerce University (BA, 2003)
  • Started out playing two years at Paris JC (TX) then transferred to (then D-II) Texas A&M-Commerce, where he played for head coach Sam Walker for two seasons; started his coaching career on Walker’s staff at Commerce
  • Returned to Paris JC as an assistant in 2005, then became head coach in 2006; went 83-17 in three seasons at the helm, winning two TEAC titles and winning 2007 TEAC COY honors
  • Moved on to Midland JC (TX), going an impressive 63-7 in two seasons at the helm; finished as NJCAA National Runner-up in 2011 with a record of 33-4
  • Joined the Division I ranks in 2011, serving as an assistant under Larry Eustachy for one year at Southern Miss before following him to Colorado State in 2012
    • Part of two NCAA Tournaments and one NIT in five total seasons working for Eustachy
  • Hired by Grant McCasland in 2016 to be associate head coach at Arkansas State, then took same role at North Texas after McCasland was hired there in 2017
    • Went to the NCAA Tournament with the Mean Green in 2021, then two-straight NITs that included winning the 2023 NIT title
  • In April 2023, following McCasland’s departure to Texas Tech, Hodge was elevated to head coach at UNT (program moved to AAC that summer)
