- Alma Mater: Charleston Southern University (BA, 2015)
- Born in Monrovia, Liberia, Nimely grew up in Lawrenceville, GA and attended Collins Hill HS where he is the school’s all-time leader in points, assists and steals and was twice named First Team All-State
- Went on to play for coach Barclay Radebaugh at Charleston Southern from 2011-15, one of the more successful stretches in program history
- Led the Bucs to two Big South titles and NIT berths (2013 and 2015); as a senior he was named Big South Player of the Year
- Left ranked first in program history in steals and third in points, is the only player in Big South history with 1800+ points and 500+ steals
- Spent some time playing professionally overseas, including stints in Lithuania and Spain
- Returned to his alma mater in 2019 and joined Radebaugh‘s staff as an assistant coach; he was in charge of calling defensive schemes
- Elevated to associate head coach in 2023 and then, seven games into the season, was named interim head coach following Radebaugh’s resignation
- Led the Bucs to a 8-15 record overall (6-10 in the Big South) and then was hired officially as head coach in March 2024
