- Started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Winthrop under head coach Gregg Marshall
- Spent two seasons as an administrative assistant on John Beilein‘s West Virginia staff while also earning his master’s degree
- Was an assistant coach at Cornell under head coach Steve Donahue for five seasons
- In seven seasons as Army head coach, won 102 games and led the Black Knights to the 2016 CIT
- Hired as the new head coach at Drexel in March 2016; is 93-118 through seven seasons with the Dragons
- In 2021, Spiker led the Dragons to their first NCAA Tournament since 1996 by way of a CAA Tournament title
