- Attended Chris Brothers Academy in Lincroft, NJ before starting his college career at Elon under head coach Mark Simons
- Transferred to and graduated from Penn, where he played for head coach Fran Dunphy
- Served as the Quakers’ co-captain as a senior in 2002-03
- Served as Director of the Eastern Invitational Basketball Classic (The Hoop Group) AAU camp in Neptune, NJ from 2004-06
- Started coaching career in 2006 as an assistant under Fran O’Hanlon at Lafayette for one season
- Spent three seasons on Mike Rice Jr.‘s staff at Robert Morris, one as an assistant and two as associate head coach, before taking over as the Colonials’ head coach in 2010; was the youngest head coach in Division I when he was first hired
- Won two NEC titles and two NEC Tournaments (before the program moved to the Horizon in 2020), earning two NCAA Tournament bids
- The Colonials have struggled since joining their new conference, going 38-78 in four seasons as a Horizon League member
- Along with his wife, Brooke, has two sons
