  • Alma Mater: Merrimack College (BA, 2004) / Robert Morris University (MS, 2019)
  • Graduated from Princeton Day School (NJ) before playing for Bert Hammel at Merrimack in North Andover, MA
  • Started his coaching career in 2005, working as an assistant under Hammel for four seasons
  • Spent two years on Paul Cormier‘s staff at Dartmouth, then four seasons under Andrew Toole at Robert Morris
    • Was a part of two NITs and one NCAA Tournament while on Toole’s staff at RMU
  • Returned to his alma mater in 2016 to take over for Hammel as the Merrimack Warriors’ head coach
    • Went to the NCAA D-II Tournament in each of his first three seasons and won the 2019 NE-10 Tournament
    • The program moved up to the Division I level starting with the 2019-20 season, joining the NEC
    • Gallo’s team won the NEC title in 2020, their first season of D-I play, and he was named NEC COY
    • The Warriors again won the NEC in 2023, then won the NEC Tournament but could not take the auto bid to the NCAA Tournament due to being in year four of the transition
