  • The NJ-native graduated from St. Patrick HS before going on to play four seasons at Seton Hall for head coaches Louis Orr and Bobby Gonzalez; was a two-time captain and appeared in two NCAA Tournaments
    • Post graduation, Billmeier played professionally in Germany and Portugal and also spent some time back at his alma mater St. Patrick HS as an assistant
  • Returned to his other alma mater, Seton Hall, in 2010 as coordinator of basketball ops under new head coach Kevin Willard
    • Spent eleven of the next twelve seasons on staff at SHU, moving up to DBO in 2013, assistant in 2015 and associate HC for the 2021-22 season
    • Part of five NCAA Tournament teams, one NIT, one Big East title and one Big East Tournament title
    • The 6’10” former center was known for his work developing Seton Hall’s big men
    • Had a one-year hiatus in which he was an assistant under Greg Herenda at Fairleigh Dickinson
  • Followed Willard to Maryland in 2022 and spent the season as an assistant with the Terps
  • Hired in April 2023 to be the head coach at NJIT back in his home state
