- Alma Mater: Utah State University (BA, 1959)
- Played freshman basketball at Utah before transferring to Utah State to finish his studies
- Started his career at the prep level, coaching at Altamont HS (UT) from 1959-62 and Logan HS (UT) from 1963-73
- Returned to his alma mater Utah State in 1973 to be an assistant for head coach Dutch Belnap
- In six seasons, Tueller was part of two NCAA Tournament teams and one trip to the NIT
- Elevated to head coach in 1979 and led the Aggies for seven seasons, going 138-121 overall
- Reached the NCAA Tournament three times and won the PCAA (now Big West) in his first year, 1979-80
- Added Athletic Director to his responsibilities in 1985, serving in that role for seven years
- Stepped down from coaching in 1988 to focus solely on being AD; hired Kohn Smith as his replacement
- Retired from administration in 1992 and spent more than 20 years working as a radio analyst for Aggie basketball games
- Inducted into the Utah State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016
