- Alma Mater: Utah State University (BS, 1988)
- After one season at Dixie College (NJCAA), he spent three seasons playing for Rod Tueller at Utah State
- Went to the NCAA Tournament by way of a PCAA Tournament title as a senior in 1988
- Started his coaching career in 1988 as an assistant at Snow College in Ephraim, UT
- Became interim head coach during the 1992-93 and took over the job officially after the season
- Coached the Badgers for 12 full seasons, going 284-128 and winning two Scenic West titles
- Inducted into the Snow College Athletic Hall of Fame (class of 2014)
- Judkins has been the head men’s basketball coach at Utah Tech (formerly Dixie State) since 2005
- His first year on the job, Utah Tech (then Dixie College) was still at the NJCAA level (his team went 20-12)
- Moved up to the NCAA Division II level in 2006, joining the Pacific West Conference a year later
- The program moved up to Division I (joining the WAC) starting with the 2020-21 season; in 2022, the school and athletic programs changed their name to “Utah Tech” while keeping the “Trailblazers” mascot
- Along with his wife, Lanette, has four children
