  • Hometown: Takoma Park, Maryland
  • Alma Mater: George Mason University (BA, 2006)
  • Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Skinn emigrated with his family to the United States at two and was raised in Maryland
  • Graduated from Takoma Academy (MD) and started out his collegiate career at Blinn College in Texas
    • Transferred back home to play for Jim Larrañaga at George Mason, becoming a three-year contributor and two-year starter for the Patriots
    • Skinn was a senior starter on the 2005-06 team that earned an at-large 11-seed in the NCAA Tournament and then went on an improbable run to the Final Four, beating the likes of Michigan State, North Carolina and UConn along the way
    • After graduation, Skinn spent six years playing professionally overseas, including stops in France, Italy, Germany and Israel
  • Returned to the States in 2012 and joined DC’s NIKE Team Takeover AAU program as an assistant coach; also worked as athletic director at Paul International HS in DC
  • Hired in 2015 to be an assistant at Louisiana Tech, working under Eric Konkol for three seasons
  • Followed that up with stints at Seton Hall (under Kevin Willard), Ohio State (under Chris Holtmann) and back home at Maryland for one season (reuniting with Willard)
  • In March 2023, Skinn was hired to be the new head coach at his alma mater, George Mason
